Security and Compliance Officer

We have an exciting opening for an experienced security professional to work in our security and compliance management team. You will work with a highly talented leadership to team to deliver a world class IT service and security posture for the company globally.

Our established information security management system is ISO27001 certified and will be extended to cover greater scope in the future. You will help evaluate and plan the rollout of further security certifications in the future.

You will also support the business in working with clients and potential clients to assist in their review, audit and agreement of our company standards and identify and agree internally and with the client where additional procedures or tools' implementation is required to meet specific client requirements.

A key part of the remit is to ensure the company continues to apply to evolving Data Protection legislation and related standards, including GPDR.

About the job

You must be a motivated security professional with excellent communication and management skills, able to work with colleagues and clients to deliver appropriate security plans and improvements. You will report to the Information Security Systems Manager to assist with the operation of the ISO 27001 information security management system working with staff and managers across the entire business, covering all aspects of security and data protection.

Core Responsibilities

  • Working with the Information Security Systems Manager and Data Protection Officer to build and maintain our information security management system, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 and other standards as agreed with the Operating Board
  • Assist with the support and implementation of the ISMS throughout the company, through documentation and training
  • Support the expanding scope of the ISMS to cover a broader range of our operations

IT Operations Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a bright, talented, and passionate IT Operations Engineer to join our managed services infrastructure team.

The managed services and operations division of D4t4 Solutions provides a world class infrastructure managed service for hosted, cloud and on-premises environments. Operating to ISO27001 and ITIL standards and guidelines.

You must be a motivated, client-focused professional with good communication and troubleshooting skills, a sense of ownership and a strong interest in technology. You must also be able to work under pressure and adapt to the demands of a busy and dynamic environment.

About the job

The primary function of the role is to perform onsite Data Centre and local server room hardware moves, adds and changes. Triage and troubleshoot hardware related issues and produce and maintain hardware diagrams.

As a member of the Operations team there will also be a requirement to perform documented operational checks covering hardware, environmental, power and backup power as well as backup jobs, tape rotation and tape offsite storage.

The hours required of this position is 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday with flexibility to work extended hours and at the weekend as required.

The position is located at the D4t4 Solutions Sunbury-on-Thames head office with scheduled and unscheduled break/fix visits to Data Centres located in London Docklands and Acton. You must therefore be a car owner/driver and an allowance to cover business use and mileage will be provided.

Core Responsibilities

  • Rack and stack computing hardware in accordance with standards.
  • Catalogue hardware assets.
  • Perform hardware moves, adds, and changes.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues onsite and remotely.
  • Add and remove hardware components such as disk, memory, NIC’s etc.
  • Install networking cabling.
  • Monitor hardware devices such as PDU and UPS.
  • Monitor server room environmental conditions.
  • Liaise with Data Centre management team.
  • Assist with facilities maintenance procedures and issues where required.
  • Operate within ISO27001 and Data Centre security standards.
  • Ensure secure disposal of retired IT assets.
  • Manage and perform backup tape rotation and offsite storage.
  • Monitor and triage alerts generated by automated infrastructure monitoring systems.
  • Apply pre-defined standard IT service operations process and procedures as required to fulfill common technical requests raised by the client.
  • Liaise with and coordinate third party technology support organisations when required.
  • Liaise with the third-party Data Centre Operations team for scheduling Change and Data Centre access by D4t4 and third-party organisations.
  • Assist Internal IT support team with IT support issues.

Skills and Requirements

  • Proficient with Visio or similar computing diagram creation tool.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with VEEAM backup and VMware would be an advantage.
  • Understanding and experience of working in secure environments under ISO27001 or equivalent.
  • Understanding and experience of working under the ITIL framework.

We have an exciting opening for a bright, talented, and passionate IT Asset Management Specialist with 13+ years’ experience in Asset Management.   • Working with the Linux Team Leader to ensure the overall service is delivered successfully, both proactively and reactively.
  • Troubleshooting activities to ensure resolution.

Core Responsibilities

  • Linux platform administration CentOS, Redhat and Ubuntu.
  • Deployment and automation of applications using Puppet Enterprise and hiera.
  • Configuring and supporting middleware and webserver software on Linux platforms, Apache, JBoss, Tomcat, MySQL, Postgress.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve server events and user incidents relating to Linux systems.
  • Work with the wider infrastructure team to provide support and troubleshooting for Linux systems incidents.
  • Security related activities, system hardening, patching, vulnerability threat management and mitigation.
  • Manage and deploy system monitoring and management tools such as Zabbix, Xymon, HIDS systems.
  • Writing and maintaining Shell scripts.
  • Basic VMware usage for troubleshooting and operations.
  • Create and maintain clear and accurate system documentation.
  • Application performance tuning.

Skills & Requirements

Previous knowledge and experience of some or all of the following;

  • At least 1 Years' experience working in a Linux Environment.
  • Understanding of common web application architectures.
  • Experience or strong knowledge of at least one programming language (bash, shell, python, Perl, C#, Java, C++).
  • Proven understanding of Linux system management and scripting.
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, or higher-level education, degree from college or university or ability to prove an aptitude for structured academic learning.
  • Understanding and experience of working under ITIL framework.

  • Stay up to date with and monitor numerous active support tickets at once, identifying risks and escalating them as necessary

  • Maintain complete documentations for all product related activities
  • Run regular scheduled technical reviews of support requests with partners and direct clients

  • Provide clear, concise and timely updates to high priority and escalated issues
  • Liaise with Development and Consulting teams where a support request requires a software change or SME knowledge, agreeing timescales for resolution and communicating that back to the client
  • Provide out of hours support via on on-call Rota
  • Be flexible and able to provide extended hours cover when necessary

Skills & Requirements

  • Good experience in Technical product support, preferably on Web Analytics products (Google Analytics, Web trends, Omniture. etc)
  • Exposure on Web development (Java, dot net, Java Scripts, JSON objects, Regular expression)
  • Knowledge on Database concepts & using SQL
  • Preferred: Linux experience, Network concepts
  • Fluent in English language both written and verbal
  • Understanding and experience of working in secure environments under ISO27001 or equivalent
  • Understanding and experience of working under ITIL framework
